DEFRAG YOUR HARD DRIVE

  Why does it take so long to open files? Your hard drive could probably benefit from a defragmenting of the files stored on it.

 As you install programs and applications the files are saved in the first available spot on your disk. To optimize the files, Windows XP can reorganize them into a more logical sequence using Disk Defragmenter. To find this utility follow these steps:

  • Start
  • All Programs
  • Accessories
  • System Tools
  • Disk Defragmenter

 To run the tool click Analyze, then Defragment
